As one of Asia’s original powerhouses at the forefront of technology and innovation, this self-contained island has an incredibly diverse range of landscapes and wildlife making it a fascinating travel destination.
Starting in the north of the island we travel to Taichung, home of one of Taiwan’s oldest mosques and gateway to the Sun Moon Lake. We then proceed to the city of Kaohsiung, famed for its bustling markets, before moving on to Kenting National Park at the southern tip of the island. This is the first of a number of unique natural environments that are experienced during the trip.
As we head back north along Taiwan’s wild and scenic eastern coastline we encounter the stunning Taroko Gorge. Our road trip concludes in Taipei, one of East Asia’s most vibrant cities, where we are treated to stunning views from the observation deck of the Taipei 101 Tower. Throughout this journey we have the opportunity to visit different mosques and Islamic centres, and learn more about this growing Muslim community.
Our local Taiwanese guides have experience in halal food certification as well as organising tours for Muslims in the region.
